Customisable Percussion Play Along Visual

Within this resource, you receive a video with a 4 beat repeating counter moving at 100 bpm. This counter visually moves and indicates which beat the performer is on to every half beat. The video plays with a metronome on each crotchet beat making it easy to follow. For best use of the resource, it is recommended you project it onto an interactive whiteboard or a normal whiteboard. This will allow you to draw in different percussion instrument cues on which ever beats you would like to play them on. For example, for a standard rock beat, you would place kick drum drawings on beats 1 and 3, snare drum drawings on beats 2 and 4 and hi hat drawings on each half beat. You will then be able to follow this along and drum in time to the backing metronome. Alternatively, a thin piece of paper over a laptop screen will do a similar job. The resource has been put at 100 bpm which will make it easy to adjust the speed. If you upload the video in iMovie or any other similar application, you will be able to adjust the tempo by percentage which is the same as bpm. For example, if you wanted to change to 80bpm, you would change the speed to 80%. Please enjoy this resource and leave a rating/review if you have found it helpful.
